More about the maker: Giovanni Battista Pallaver (19081986) was an Italian violin maker from Ala di Trento who worked primarily in Verona. From 1952 he studied violin making in Milan under Andrea Bisiach and Raffaele Capsoni, placing him within the influential Bisiach school of twentieth century Italian lutherie. Although rooted in this tradition,
