‘EMERGING’ sys_provider_tapstitch where pattern holds itself inEmerging was an experiment in painting something unfamiliar to me at the time. Its the first UFO Ive painted, driven by a long standing curiosity about the unknown and the imagery that lives in science fiction. I worked from memory rather than reference, focusing on the moment of arrivalthe craft breaking through the clouds and scattering color as it enters the sky. Instead of precision, I let the atmosphere lead, allowing motion, light, and
