Vandoren B40 Alto Clarinet Mouthpiece Barrels The scale is tight —The Vandoren B40 Alto Clarinet mouthpiece has tip opening of 1. 38mm and a medium long facing, which makes it a little more open and "meatier" than the 5RV. It has a great response when paired with a Vandoren Traditional 2. 5 or 3 reed.
