その後、竹を竹割包丁で必要な細さまで割っていき、皮を剥ぎ、角の面取りをして、竹ひごを作り、編んでいきます。原材料の竹を採るところから最終的に作品となるまで、膨大な工程がすべて石田さんの手仕事で行われています。
